Posting in the Forum requires an online account with a valid e-mail address. You do

Do you have to be a subscriber

No, anyone is welcome to post on our Forum. But you must set up an online account

How can I purchase a back
issue?
Back issues can be purchased through our “Subscribe” menu. First, you must set up
an online account with us. Then click on “Back Issues” to select the issue you
would like to purchase. Not all issues may be available.

reprint?

How do I join the Retailer
Program and sell single-issue copies in my wine store?
Single issues of Sommelier Journal can be sold in wine stores through our Retailer
Program. Issues are sent to you on consignment, and you keep 35% of the cover price

How can I submit an event for
the Calendar?
Calendar events are published in the Notebook section of each issue. Submit your
event (including a brief description, date, place, web address, and contact phone
number) to Rachel Zawila at rachel@sommelierjournal.com at least two months prior
to the month of the event. Sommelier Journal publishes only events of interest to
our professional readers.
Why can I only access some of
the articles in the most recent issue?
Only selected articles are available to the general public. Subscribers have access
to all articles. If you are already a subscriber, you need to set up an online
account to access subscriber-only features of the website.

How do I submit a wine to
Sommelier Journal for review?
Sommelier Journal does not score wines. Samples are occasionally requested for
Tasting Panels and for articles on particular wineries or regions. If you are

I am interested in writing for
Sommelier Journal. How do I submit an article?
Sommelier Journal accepts freelance articles on assignment, but rarely on
speculation. Articles must be appropriate for our professional audience. It’s best
to send your proposals and story ideas to Rachel Zawila at
rachel@sommelierjournal.com before writing a complete article. If you have not
written for Sommelier Journal in the past, please include samples of your writing.

How do I sign up for a
subscription online?

You will first need to set up an online account, then follow the prompts to enter
your subscription information and make payment. Please note that we accept only
VISA or MasterCard.
How do I give a gift
subscription?
To give a gift subscription, click on the “Subscribe” tab in the menu bar at the
top of the page. You will first need to set up an online account. Please note that
all accounts can only have one subscription linked to them. It is therefore
preferable to use the e-mail address and name of the person you are giving the gift
to, rather than your own. If you use your own, you will not be able to use this
account to purchase any subscriptions other than renewals for the giftee. After
setting up an account, follow the prompts to enter the subscription information.
The different billing address (yours) and mailing address (the person you are
giving the gift to) will automatically make it a gift order. Then follow the
prompts to make your payment. Please note that we only accept VISA or MasterCard.
I am a subscriber. Why am I
having trouble accessing subscriber-only online content?
Even if you are a subscriber, you need to have an online account set up and linked
to your print subscription before you can access subscriber-only online content. To
set up your account, click on the “Subscribe” tab in the menu bar at the top of the
page. After entering your account details, click on “Already a Subscriber.” The
system will attempt to link your account with your print subscription. If it is
unable to do so, you will be prompted to enter your subscriber key code. This is a
five-character alphanumeric code found on your subscription label. If you cannot

I am trying to sign up for a
subscription, but my credit card keeps getting declined.
There are several reasons why a credit card may be declined by our authorization
system. First, we accept only VISA or MasterCard. Please double-check the numbers
on your card, including the expiration date and CVV2 code (the three-digit code on
the back of the card). For security reasons, the billing address you enter must
match the billing address of the credit card you provide, including the ZIP code.
Finally, the name you enter as the name on the card must match the name on file

How do I renew my subscription
online?
Subscription renewals can be done through our “Subscribe” menu. First, you must set
up an online account with us or login to your existing account. Then click on
“Renew Subscription” and follow the instructions.

Why does my username have to
be an e-mail address?
We require usernames to be valid e-mail addresses to reduce the amount of spam in
our Forum. Note that the username visible in the Forum will not be your e-mail
address, and your address will not be given or sold to any third party.
